We will update this page during the week.

With thanks to Rev Catriona Morrison, Rev Marc Prowe and all our contributors.
Please join us for Zoom coffee after today’s service.
Remember we have a service in church next week, for Easter Day, at 11am. Reserve your space(s) from Tuesday morning by calling the church office 01382 668514
From Easter Day 2021 (4th April) we are returning to holding all-age worship back in church every Sunday, led by our locum ministers Rev Catriona Morrison and Rev Marc Prowe.
Website services will also continue, but for now we won’t be running our Zoom coffee sessions.
It would be lovely to see you back in the church building, but please don’t come if you don’t feel it is right for you.
Do not attend if you have any symptoms of Covid-19 or if you have been in contact with anyone with Covid-19 in the last 14 days.
Please take note of the following points before deciding whether or not to attend, and to prepare yourself, if you do decide to attend.
This all sounds very strict, and very different to how we normally worship together.
“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20
And for those who choose not to attend, we will be praying for you, and a time when we can all worship together in person.

Our service today looks forward to the end of lockdown, to Easter and the summer, by considering seeds and weeds.
Rev Catriona Morrison opens our service, we sing “We plough the fields and scatter”, and Dorothy Drummond reads from Luke chapter 12 verses 27-31.
Rev Marc Prowe shares a parable from Luke 8:5-8, told for the children, and we sing “In our lives plant seeds of hope”.
Readings from Luke chapter 13 verses 6-9 and 18-19, and Matthew chapter 13 verses 24-30 from Dorothy Drummond, Ruth & Helen Mahood and Moira Stewart. Catriona considers weeds, and Gillian Docherty leads us in prayer. We sing “For the fruits of all creation”.
Florence & Gordon read from 1 Corinthians 15 verses 36-44a, we sing “Now the green blade riseth” and “Great is thy Faithfulness”. Marc reflects on seeds, and we pray together.
A beautiful arrangement of John Rutter’s The Lord Bless You And Keep You by Bobby Goulder who sings it as a one-man choir.
With thanks to Rev Catriona Morrison, Rev Marc Prowe and all our contributors.
Please join us for Zoom coffee after today’s service.
Our locum ministers are on leave this week, and we are using a service of worship curated by The Right Reverend Dr Martin Fair, Moderator of the General Assembly.
Our opening hymn is “In Christ Alone”, taken from BBC Songs of Praise.
Our opening prayer is led by Rev Allan McCafferty, Hope Park and Martyrs Church, St Andrews.
John 2 verses 13-22, read by Naomi Wylie and Becca Wylie from Burnside Blairbeth Church, Rutherglen.
Join Dorothy Urquhart from Fullerton, Irvine.
We sing 10,000 Reasons, using a video from BBC Songs of Praise.
The sermon is preached by Rev William Wilson, minister of Burnside Blairbeth Church, Rutherglen.
Our prayers are led by Rev Fiona Reynolds, Monifieth Parish Church.
Our final hymn is Guide me, O Thou Great Jehovah.

Rev Marc Prowe leads our service today. He welcomes us, we sing “In a byre near Bethlehem” to a familiar tune, and our prayers are led by John Dent.
Marc explains how following Jesus needs committment. John Dent reads from Luke 9, 22-27. We sing “God has made laughter”, and we see more images of times good and hard.
We sing “When we are tempted to deny your Son”, and Marc presents a summary of Luke 9 46-55, with imagined dialogue between the disciples and Jesus -“no Jesus no”.
We hear from Luke 9 57-62 and Psalm 141 6-10, read by Frances and John Dent. Marc reminds us to be ready.
Marc brings our service to a close, and we sing “Will you come and follow me”, and “When we are living”, and we pray together.
Played by Bill Mclean on our church organ.
With thanks to Rev Marc Prowe, Frances and John Dent, Ed Muirhead, Bill Mclean, Hazel Bengough, and all our other contributors.

We’ve just added Try Praying booklets for adults and children into the boxes outside our church on Blackness Avenue. Please help yourself.
Take a look at the Try Praying website for lots of useful ideas and advice, including a seven-day “getting started” guide.
Rev Catriona Morrison leads our service of worship this morning. We start with the hymn “Have you heard the raindrops drumming on the rooftops?”
Follow along with the videos below – these have subtitles/captions available (using the CC option or under the three dots).
With the children, our readings from John 4:3-26, 27-30, 39-42, and we sing “Take this moment, sign and space”.
Our sermon, in two parts, with the hymn “Jesus Christ is waiting”, and “When I needed a neighbour” plus a reading from Luke 10:30-37.
Our prayers, more time with the children, and our closing hymn is “O for a thousand tongues to sing”.
