Introductory music

Our service today is led by Rev Catriona Morrison, and Rev Marc Prowe, our locums. Mike Duffy, Session Clerk, welcomes us.

Welcome

An introduction from Mike, followed by Catriona & Marc.

Hymn

Our opening hymn is Glory to God above (Psalm 148), the words will appear on screen as the music plays.

Prayer

Mike Duffy leads us in our opening prayers.

With the young

Bringing the light of Jesus into the dark.

Carol

We join the University of Aberdeen Christian Union Music Network in the carol “Joy to the world”, the words will appear on the screen so you can sing with the students.

Hymn with readings

Readings Isaiah 60:1-3, Isaiah 52:7-10, Psalm 139:7-12, Luke 2:15-21, with “Brightest and best”.

Sermon

Prayers, final hymn and blessing

Rev Catriona Morrison leads us in prayer. We sing “As stars adorn the night-veiled sky”, and the Aaronic blessing.
