Introductory music
Our service today is led by Rev Catriona Morrison, and Rev Marc Prowe, our locums.
Catriona opens of our service with a bible reading from Matthew chapter 2 verses 13 & 14, a film clip and our opening prayers. We also sing together “Beauty for Brokenness”, with Ed Muirhead.
With the young
Marc asks, “Can you hide? Can you spot the ones hiding?”
Song
Catriona introduces us to a new hymn, written by Reverend Graham Deans, a member of their former congregation in Kirkcaldy, “As now this global crisis”, which is sung to a familiar tune, and recorded in Nigeria.
Saul
The story of Saul with readings from Acts 9:25-30 & 11:25-26, prayer and we sing together the hymn “Come Living God, when least expected”, accompanied by Ed Muirhead.
Jacob
The story of Jacob, with a reading from Genesis 28:10-13a, 16-17, prayer and we will sing “You are before me God”, led by the Mathieson family from Invergowrie Church.
Mary and Joseph
The story of Mary & Joseph fleeing to Egypt.
Prayers
John Dent leads our prayers for others.
Song & blessing
The Mathiesons lead us to sing “Give me oil in my lamp”, and Rev Marc Prowe gives the blessing.
Final music
Hyfrydol played by Bill Mclean on our church organ.
